Research Relating to the Cerebellum, Balance, Dyslexia and ADHD
WyyMi has an inclusive approach to research. We will not remove or ignore any published work simply because of who wrote it or where it was published. However we will grade it. Material published in recognised peer-review journals is considered the gold standard and will be given the greatest weight. Hand-in-hand with this is the quality of research. Again, nothing will be excluded because of low quality but it will be graded. Large scale, double-blind trials are given the greatest weight.
Part of the problem with cataloging research into this area is that over the last 30 years, terminology, definition and research standards have changed. Even when comparing modern studies, one might refer to child as dyslexic on the basis of a ten minute screening test whereas another might require a full PsyEd diagnosis. To try ensure like-with-like comparisons, research will be organised under broad terms, e.g. language problems or behavioral problems.
